Our story began in September 2015 when we first met at university in Leeds. What started as a great friendship quickly grew into something more, and by 6th April 2016, we officially became a couple.

In September 2017, we moved into our first tiny flat as we embarked on a year of work between our studies. During that year, we saved up for an unforgettable summer, and in August 2018, we set off on an interrailing adventure through Europe—Lisbon was a firm favourite!

After finishing our final year at university, we celebrated our graduation with a trip to Vietnam before returning to Leeds to mark the milestone together.

Life then took us in different directions: Mark moved to Cardiff to start his career, while Abbie worked and saved for an adventure in Australia with Bethany (the Maid of Honour). In January 2020, the Australian journey began, and in March, Mark flew out to join the adventure. We had an incredible time exploring the East Coast until the global pandemic unexpectedly brought the trip to an early end. Back home, we lived together in Cardiff, making the most of the unexpected time together before escaping to Cornwall for the summer.

In September 2020, a new chapter began as we moved to Bristol—a city we’d never visited before. By May 2022, we had found our forever place, buying our first home in Chepstow. It quickly became our favourite spot, and we are thrilled to welcome you here for the wedding celebrations! Since settling in, we’ve made so many wonderful memories, including a magical Greek island-hopping trip in June 2023.

Finally, after almost eight years together, on a windswept day in February 2024, Mark proposed to Abbie at Porthmeor Beach in St Ives—one of our favourite places. It was the perfect moment to begin this next chapter.
